Malaga to Cordoba

7 Nights​

  • Arriving into Malaga

Day 1

  • Meet in Malaga by 4pm local time

  • Welcome Meeting

  • Walking tour of the Picasso Museum with our local guide followed by a very special Welcome Dinner

  • Overnight in Malaga


Day 2

  • Enjoy the Montes de Malaga - an abrupt mountainous topography dotted with almond and oak trees. Lunch in a small village.

  • Arrive to our hotel - Hotel Fuente de Sol

  • Group Dinner and special presentation


Day 3

  • We continue north through wild, unspoiled sections of the Montes de Malaga before entering a more agricultural landscape.

  • Enjoy a stay in the same hotel


Day 4 

  • Today, we walk over the highest point on the Camino - Puerto de Escarihuelas after walking through el Torcal, a beautiful limestone ridge. 

  • Enjoy a stay in the same hotel


Day 5

  • Today's walk continues on the Camion de Cuevas Bajas, a dirt road with preserved Roman surfaces in many places. We pass through hamlets, a Roman villa and an area settled by Sephardic Jewish people in the 16th century.

  • Enjoy a new hotel (Hotel Miverva) complete with Arabic baths


Day 6

  • Experience a landscape dominated by olive groves. Lunch in Castro del Rio, a sweet historical gem best known for where Cervantes started writing Don Quijote.

  • Enjoy an overnight in the same hotel. Spend some time in the nearby town.


Day 7

  • Our final walk takes us to magical Córdoba: entering the city across its iconic Roman bridge, and paying a visit to the extraordinary Moorish mosque enclosed within its ancient city walls.

  • Enjoy a tour of the infamous Mezquita.

  • Celebratory farewell dinner


Day 8

  • Departures, hugs & high fives

  • Consider giving yourself an extra day to adjust to the local time zone.

  • Break in your walking shoes starting NOW! We'll be walking 4-7 hours each day.

  • Reservation deposit of 300 euros required to hold your spot

The deposit can be transferred to another Toma and Coe trip should there be a cancellation due to​ government mandated travel restrictions. If you choose to cancel, the deposit is forfeited.
